Design Thinking For Social Service

Recommend course:

“Design Thinking” is one of the hottest topics in the business and social change arena today.

Over the past decade, the term “Design Thinking” has garnered considerable attention in a wide range of organisations and contexts beyond the traditional scopes of designers. Many advocate design thinking as a method and process for unlocking innovation, a collaborative problem-solving tool for complex or wicked issues, and as a means of prototyping and testing, to generate possibilities to meet users’ needs, wants and/or desires.

Hence, it is imperative to include Design Thinking in social services.

This workshop is designed with a series of mini hands-on activities that allow participants to experience moments of the design thinking journey in the context of the social service sector. This one-day workshop will introduce the basics to design thinking; key tenets and the importance of its practice within the social service sector and beyond.
